As far as I know the Vimanas are some kind of Hindu flying machines that according to ancient Sanskrit writings were used by the Hindu gods as formidable weapons in their wars, some sources even claim that those Vimanas were the WMD(World Most Dangerous) of ancient times that eventually caused the utter destruction of the Rama empire that flourished in Hindustan when Atlantis was still around! Legend has it that Aryans were behind those Hindu technologies and Afghanistan is believed to be "The land of the Aryans"
