Morawaka Medito, a product of B.P. Morawaka & Sons (Pvt) Ltd, was a popular beverage in Sri Lanka, particularly in the early and mid-2000s. The company, with its factory and office in Pannipitiya, Homagama, was run by Mr. Upali Morawaka, son of the late Mr. B.P. Morawaka. A significant change in production occurred in 2007 when they invested in a PET (plastic) bottling plant, shifting from glass bottles. However, the brand eventually disappeared from the market, with some speculating it was due to negative publicity surrounding the product and potential health concerns. Others cite the difficulty in collecting empty glass bottles, especially from distant areas, as the primary reason for the switch to plastic bottles and ultimately, the brand's disappearance
