Modern conventional wars are not about winning or conquesting other nations. Russia is a land forces dominated country. Unlike western counterparts, In Russian Air warfare is only used for air superiority and strategic targeting( as far as I know they have no good aircraft other than old MIG 27 to provide CAS (close air support)for ground forces). But till Kerch Strait Bridge attack Russians did not target Ukranian centres of gravities (COG) (before you wage war you have to identify and destroy or capture enemy COG to win a war this is one basic factor of military planning). By estimating how brigade size Russian forces turn the tide of Syrian war and how they destroyed second Chechen war and appoint pro-Russian president. It seems that Russia doesn't want to end the Ukranian war, they want a protracted war.
no they don't when we talk about stealth it is mainly RADAR stealth, MANPAD stands for man portable air defence those are mainly Russian made strella msl or stingers. to fire this you need to see the aircraft and it should be low or medium altitude. stinger is a good msl but Argon canister in stinger BCU only cool seeker head for less than 1 minute so you have to find and lock target within that time if not you cannot fire the msl. I don't have much experience in air warfare but i think nobody will use stealth aircraft in daytime in low altitude but if the country has S300 or 400 system or other ADM they will surely engage stealth aircraft.
