ලංකාව මාරයි නේ !

Just don't present a false picture. Every country has it's own drug regulatory authority and their own rules. Japan has a very strict drug approval policy. They require more clinical tests than those done in other countries for the vaccine to be deemed safe. So they conduct their own clinical trials which I am aware started late January.
They will probably go ahead with the vaccines only late April or early May.
PS: Sorry... I just noticed that its not your post but copied from probably the fakebook. Feel free to leave a comment in there.
Their population is higher too.. But many countries do not usually bend their drug regulations. I am aware that in some countries, say for eg newly developed cancer drugs etc, even though available in the US will not be approved for another six years. Only exception is that they occasionally allow a test case. But their death toll is 16 times higher than ours so![]()

Even in the US. Europe the vaccine was approved under emergency use provisions. Japan did not opt for that. It's their call and not what's presented in this post.

It's a false picture... If it doesn't present the truth - it's false. In any case we can't comment on what others do. In Israel the current vaccination count is 8.15 Million. they probably have another 1 Million to go. They placed orders for the Pfizer vaccine before the trial results were out. Just see the efficiency of the vaccine delivery. Our situation is still better than theirs (covid-fatalities wise.) They have 5 times our population and 16 times the fatalities.
Yes its their call to use or not use newly developed vaccines but the point is despite being a 3rd world country we're still in a better place than Japan when it comes to COVID - so a privileged Japanese being astonished at our response to COVID is totally warranted and doesn't paint a "false picture" imo
Israel being more efficient in vaccine delivery doesn't mean Sri Lanka haven't managed the epidemic better than Japan so farIt's a false picture... If it doesn't present the truth - it's false. Of course yes... We did the best. Remember the Hatti, Mutti and Paniya.Israel being more efficient in vaccine delivery doesn't mean Sri Lanka haven't managed the epidemic better than Japan
Nobody said we're world leaders in managing the epidemic or our response to COVID is Guinness-book worthy so IDK what you're on aboutOf course yes... We did the best. Remember the Hatti, Mutti and Paniya.
We certanly are the world leaders!!! Probably will go into the Guinness Book of Records soon.
When I said we are the world leaders... that implies that we are ahead of Japan... Obvious. My original comment related to the fact that it's presenting a false picture and I stand by it. It might not be intentional but it's far from the reality.Nobody said we're world leaders in managing the epidemic or our response to COVID is Guinness-book worthy so IDK what you're on about![]()

That's pretty obvious too from my first comment. You are talking about the 7000 odd deaths in Japan. FYI nearly 1500 over the age of 70, and another 4300 over the age of 80 - they do have a very high population of old people. There's no point in discussing if you are not prepared to accept the reality. The reality is we are ahead of Japan by every definition of the word when it comes to managing the epidemic - stating that fact doesn't imply that we're "the world leaders" so I still don't see the "false picture" you're talking about![]()

The reality is we've managed to stay ahead of Japan in infection prevention and reducing the fatalities alike and have started vaccinating the populous before them - all that, while having resources of a third world country. A Japanese who knows about SL being impressed by that in no way paints a "false picture" despite Israel being the most efficient country in vaccinating her population or SL not being the world leader in pandemic management or Japan having more elderly than SLThat's pretty obvious too from my first comment. You cannot just compare the stupidity of what we went through ... We are the World No#1 in that. (If you call it pandemic management)![]()
You don't have to agree with me at all. As Voltaire said it;s your right to say it. But what I said is 100% correct. The reality is we've managed to stay ahead of Japan in infection prevention and reducing the fatalities alike and have started vaccinating the populous before them - all that, while having resources of a third world country. One thing I agree with you - There's no point in discussing the matter any further because we're at that point where no one will convince the other, let's just agree to disagree![]()
