These type of flying machines are called Airship. they are lighter than air crafts. They are still in operation in some countries. The famous Zeppelin company also start their new type in 1997.

yeah that's why i have written අහස් යන්ත්‍රය (thought it's better than ගුවන් නැව ) instead of ගුවන් යානය. they are lighter and they can carry a much heavier cargo than modern air crafts could.......
true that they have started using these air ships again though in a smaller scale. the largest air ship made in recent times is also quite small when compared with Hindenburg. But now there's no need to be afraid because they use Helium (non-flammable).
