I do not like this politician. But there are few things in this post which needs our attention.
The appointment to this Commission unless ex officio will soon dance , to the tune of China- china is famous for bribes of foreign officials
Next issue is government land is leased 99 years to private companies including China(eg Hambantota Port) so why not this land given to a separate entity not accountable to parliament. This issue was argued and rejected by Supreme Court. So this will not be an issue.
anyway somewhat good post , though I do not agree with some, when we consider the type of speeches we hear in parliament and media.
Ultimately success of this project will depend on type of investors and our competitive advantage over 100 odd such places in the world. Only future will tell us its success.
Can we get any foreign ministry research in to International relations aspects of such projects around the world and their success and failures . We dont see such research , though we have fully functional Laxman Kairgarmer Centre? This shows lack of planning in govt sector, which comprised professional career personnel. We did not see any such input , sadly. Lack of professionalism is order of the day in our govt sector eg Central Bank, Foreign Service etc

සුදුස්සෝ නැතුව නේමේ. ඔකෙන් ගොඩ යන්න බැරිකමකුත් නැතුව නෙමේ. අපේ රටේ ඔවා ගොඩ දාන්න, රට ගැන කැක්කුමත් තියන මේරට ගොඩදාන්න උත්සහ කරන උගත් බුද්දිමත් මිනිසුන් ඔනේ තරම් ඉන්නවා. හම්බ වෙලත් තියනවා. ප්‍රසිද්දියේත් අප අතර ඔනේ තරම් ඉන්නවා හා හිටියා. මේ හිගන ආන්ඩුව උන්ගේ තියන වැරදි වහගැනිම හා උන්ගේ මහන්තත්ව කම පෙන්වීම සදහා හුගක් මිනිසුන් පැත්තකට කර දමා අවසන්. ඉදිරියටත් ඔය දේම වෙනවා. මේවා හොරකම් කරනවාටත් වඩා රටකට අහිතකර ප්‍රතිඵල ගෙන දේනවා.
ඔකුන් කොච්චර හොරා කෑවත් කමක් නෑ හෝරා කෑවා කියලා ලේසියෙන් රටක් වැටේන්නේ නෑ. ඒත් මේවගේ කරන පහත් වැඩ නිසා සුදුස්සන්ට සුදුසු තැන නොදි මේ රට වේගයෙන් විනාසයකරා යනවා.
