Yes... Two types. An abrasive material is added before the final jet in a mixing chamber. Sand or another material like Silicon Carbide or Aluminium Oxide is used.
Waterjet cutting has one significant advantage. It's a cold-cutting process and eliminates the heat zones being created within materials which causes the molecular structure of that material to change.
