the thing is that nobody builds their framework of understanding out of nothing. everyone has their own facts and logic and defending that framework is perfectly fine as long as those facts and logic are solid.

BUT if someones logic starts shaking in front of another persons questions/challenges and then they try to protect their framework at any cost by dragging in irrelevant nonsense, thats where the real problem is. it is just not only wastes time, it keeps you stuck inside a failed framework you mistakenly believe has a solid foundation..
Yeah In that case yes, this largely depend on personal capacity to handle.better if we can take something from and come to a collective agreeable answer.but since slippages can happen lets move on

To decide whether someone's " framework " is right or wrong ( ofc I'm taking about Nibbana/Buddhism framework )
You gotta be an Arihant right

Otherwise... We could be deceived by our own mind &

thats exactly the point. only arihats have fully reliable and correct interpretation based on direct experience. anyone below experience is still not reliable and can still be deceived by their own mind. this is why we should never interpret the damma purely through personal experience as our subjective impressions/experience are unstable and misleading.

the only truly reliable(most) source we have is the tipitaka. we need to try to extract the objective meaning from the suttas/abhidhamma from within themselves instead of imposing our own personal, unreliable interpretation trhough our misleading personal experience onto them

    Took this from kayagathasathivagga

"Ekadhammo, bhikkhave, bhāvito bahulīkato sotāpattiphalasacchikiriyāya saṁvattati. Katamo ekadhammo? Kāyagatā sati. Ayaṁ kho, bhikkhave, ekadhammo bhāvito bahulīkato sotāpattiphalasacchikiriyāya saṁvattatī'ti."

"Monks, when one thing is developed and cultivated, it leads to the realization of the fruit of Stream-Entry. What is that one thing? Mindfulness directed to the body. This is that one thing which, when developed and cultivated, leads to the realization of the fruit of Stream-Entry

Why aren’t we all be doing this?

As you said earlier, from a social, ethical, and standards-based perspective there is an issue. But from the standpoint of how the mind actually functions, this is completely normal and it genuinely does happen in reality. Would you agree.

    forget about ethics/moralities

believing that story mind created as real (he has ego) - issue (wrong judgment, believing something not real as real)
acting based on believed reality - issue (action based on the wrong judgement)

The "shaking of logic" you are talking about here is also subjective and this is not irrelevant nonsense. Just because you can’t give a direct answer to my question (that was still not answered), doesn’t make it nonsense. Doesn’t the fact that you try to avoid and talk about other unnecessary things prove my previous point? I don’t have a framework, I have a simple question, that you are struggling to answer. And all of a sudden here we are back in religious talk. You guys can’t help it can you? 😅

This is also a mental function රෝෂ් අයියෙ and what you are saying is simply incorrect, there is no right or wrong here, everything is subjective. No matter how much facts you put in, people still see what they want to see <<< This is fact. 🤷‍♂️
And as I said time and time again this is not about you have an ego or not. My question is about the process of making a perception in mind and thinking that “I think Rosh has a huge ego in Abhidhamma”. You said there is an issue with that process and I simply want to know what it is. Forget about I am right or wrong.

why aren’t any of you guys understand my question? :baffled:

This "interpret the damma purely through personal experience" should be other way around, the way to do this is "personal experience should be interpret through dhamma". For this, you need to know damma first, agree?

no struggle, gave you the answer, didnt i?

if my mind is making a wrong assumption and taking that as a reality and acting on it and keep doing it - dont know about you, it is an issue for me if my mind is processing like that..

are you asking absolute right/wrong or absolute issue/non-issue or something like that? bro, there is no such thing as absolute

So what you are trying to say is, there is right assumption? In that case "Rosh doesn't have a huge ego on Abhidhamma" is the correct one?

There is an absolute but let's leave it for now. I am not asking something like that. Simply asking this:
[I (Nuwan) perceive that you (Rosh) has a huge ego on Abhidhamma (a Subject)] - what is the issue in this fabrication when fabrication itself is a normal function of a functioning mind?
    Did you get my question?

yes, need to KNOW damma first

any asumption on my ego is a story - coz, you cant detect it.

bro, how many times i said, fabrication is not the ..acting on fabricated stories taking as reality is the issue..

when i say, you have an issue if you feel you wanna stab someone with a knife... you asking me to show the issue of grabbing the knife..

not to be confused...know means the knowledge - not the avabodaya (understanding tru the relizzation)

Maybe I missed it but this is the first time I see you saying “fabrication is not the issue” – This is what you are saying, right?
I’d say acting on fabricated stories is also not the issue either because we can’t stop it (irrespective of the act is right or wrong). Once you fabricated, you will act using mind, body or words - agree?

Now we come to one important point. You lightly touched on it by saying “taking as reality” and you see this as an issue. Would you be able to elaborate on this one please?

not to be confused...know means the knowledge - not the avabodaya (understanding tru the relizzation)
    Sure, whatever you say :)

a person is yelling at you, you think he is going to kill you. so you go ahead kill him. this keeps happening and you think this is normal...

    is there an issue here?

    @Blair Solari

btw, i think you are the one who has been mostly intermitted by me (with abhidamma)... i had been going after you many times... how did you feel it? trying to defeat you? maintain abhidamma for ego? so something else...?

    just curious.

btw, i personally dont care what you think abt me. (i know none of you personally) ...but if most of you guys feel im trying to defeat you or something like that i will need to tone down..otherwise you will see me instead of what i show...

@Emios @nipund too please. i had asked many questions and replied with abhidamma) with u too a few times...

    honest answer only, please 🙏
