Under 'The One Sri Lanka' project, an agreement was signed today to construct the facades of the twin towers, Ritz Carlton and JW Marriot. The two buildings are currently under construction at Transwork Square in Colombo Fort. The total cost of the facade construction is 70 million US dollars and the total stake of the entire project will be 560 million US Dollars.
The agreement was signed between The One Transwork Square Limited and one of China's largest financial company, the CITIC Limited and its consortium partners SGCG Limited. The CEO and director of The One Transwork Square Limited, Janaki Siriwardana, Project Manager of CITIC Limited, Shio Yon Ping and chairman of SGC Construction Global Limited, Tiyan Ye signed the agreement at 'The One Sri Lanka” project office in Colombo Fort today.
The agreement was signed to construct the facades of the 80 storeyed and 77 storeyed buildings being built at a cost of 70 million US dollars. A star class hotel and an apartment complex are housed on both buildings of The One Sri Lanka project. The ONE comprises a combination of offices and residencies, a luxury retail mall, multiple storied car parks, a banquet hall, a collective of dining experiences including a sky bar, business offices and a helipad. Another building with 94 storeys is scheduled to be built under this project and it will be named as 'The One' and, once it is completed, it will be the tallest building in South Asia. The construction of the first tower will be concluded by December 2021.
