    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development to award above contract to M/s Hoveal Construction (pvt) Ltd for Rs. 713 million, under the recommendation of standing procurement committee appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers.

    Development of the 4 km distance in Pitipana – Thalagala Road, from Pitipana Junction to Data Centre in Dampe Road

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development to award above contract to Finite Lanka (Pvt) Ltd under the recommendation of standing procurement committee appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers.

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Patali Cahmpika Ranawaka, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development to secure Rs. 328.63 million provisions to complete phase II of the road proposed to develop connecting Dematagoda and Outer Circular Road.

    Construction of Water Control Gates for Channels in order to control Floods occur in Colombo Area

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon.     දිවයින පුරා පිහිටි රෝහල් 132 කට අවශ්‍ය ගිලන් රථ 132 ක් බෙදාදීමේ උත්සවය සෞඛ්‍ය, පෝෂණ හා දේශීය වෛද්‍ය අමාත්‍ය දොස්තර රාජිත සේනාරත්න මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් 2019.01.18 දින පස්වරු 2.00 ට කොළඹ මහ නගර සභා භූමියේ දී සිදු කිරීමට කටයුතු යොදා ඇත.

    එංගලන්තයේ ෆොර්ඩ් සමාගම නිෂ්පාදනය කරන ලද මෙම ගිලන් රථ 132 සදහා වැය කරන මුදල රුපියල් මිලියන 2500 කි. මෙවැනි ගිලන් රථ 250 ක් රෝහල් වලට බෙදාදීමට සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා පියවර ගෙන ඇත. තව ද ජර්මනියේ බෙන්ස් සමාගම විසින් නිෂ්පාදනය කරන ලද ගිලන් රථ 100 ක් ද, දිවයින පුරා රෝහල්වලට බෙදාදීමට පියවර ගෙන තිබේ. දැනට බෙන්ස් වර්ගයේ ගිලන් රථ 40 ක් රෝහල්වලට බෙදා දී ඇත. මෙවර බෙදාදීමට නියමිත ෆොර්ඩි වර්ගයේ ගිලන් රථ පළාත් සභා රෝහල් 103 කට ද, මධ්‍යම රජයේ රෝහල් 27 කට ද ආයුර්වේද දෙපාර්තමේන්තු රෝහල් 02 කට ද ලබා දෙයි.

    “Contract Package 2 of the JICA-financed Major Bridges Construction Project in the National Highway Network was completed in 2018. The total 8 bridges, namely, Kaithady, Navatkuli, Cheddikulam, Mandaikallar, Pali Aru, Aru Kuli, Arippu and Marichchukaddi bridges within the national highways of Northern Province were reconstructed through this contract, and are now providing better and safer mobility to the public in these areas. Contract Package 1 of the same Project consisting of 12 bridges in the Southern Province were completed in early 2018. Road Development Authority of Sri Lanka is the implementing agency for the Project.”

    Sri Lanka’s Colombo Port- city dredging completed ; Ready for investors

    Jan 14, 2019 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s proposed Financial City better known as the Port City has now fully completed land reclamation, Ministry of Megapolis and Western Province Development said.

    The new city will function as a special jurisdiction area with its own economic and commercial laws to facilitate operations of global multinational corporations.

    The completed city will have reclaimed 269 hectares with 116 hectares being handed over to China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), which is the parent company of China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC).

    The remaining land, which will be owned by the Sri Lankan Government and will be divided with 62 hectares to be used to set up a financial city and 91 hectares to be used as public spaces.

    Last year, CHEC Port City Colombo (Pvt) Ltd., presented the Development Control Regulations (DCR) for the Colombo Port City project.to the authorities, signaling for the marketing team to sell it as real estate.

    The DCR was prepared by Surbana Jurong, a Singaporean urban design consultancy and Atkins, a UK-based engineering consultancy.
