පළාත් පාලන ආයතන වල නිල කාලය අදින් ආරම්භ වන බව රාජ්‍ය පරිපාලන, පළාත් සභා හා පළාත් පාලන අමාත්‍යාංශය පවසයි.

අද දිනයේ බලය හිමි පිහිටුවිමට අවස්ථාව හිමි වන්නේ ආයතන 161කට පමණයි.
මැයි 06 වැනිදා පැවති පළාත් පාලන ආයතන ඡන්ද විමසීමේ ප්‍රතිඵල අනුව පළාත් පාලන ආයතන 161ක බහුතර බලය හිමිකර ගැනීමට දේශපාලන පක්ෂ හෝ ස්වාධීන කණ්ඩායම් සමත් විය.

ආයතන 178 ක බහුතර බලය හිමි කර ගැනීමට තනි පක්ෂයක් හෝ ස්වාධීන කණ්ඩායමක් සමත් වූයේ නැහැ.

කෙසේ වෙතත් රාජ්‍ය පරිපාලන, පළාත් සභා සහ පළාත් පාලන අමාත්‍යවරයා පසුගිය පෙබරවාරි 17 වැනිදා නිකුත් කර ඇති ගැසට් නිවේදනයට අනුව පළාත් පාලන ආයතනවල ධුර කාලය අද ආරම්භ වෙයි.
ඒ අනුව බලය පිහිටුවීම ගැටලුවක් නොමැති පළාත් පාලන ආයතන 161 ක සභික ලයිස්තු ඇතුළත් ගැසට් නිවේදනය මැතිවරණ කොමිෂන් සභාව විසින් ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කළේ, එම ආයතනවල නගරාධිපතිවරුන් උප නගරාධිපතිවරුන් සභාපතිවරුන් සහ උප සභාපතිවරුන්ගේ නම් ද ඇතුළත්වයි.

"Fraudster to be appointed DG of BOI!

A notorious thief by the name Rifki Badurdeen
is to be appointed director general of the Board
of Investment, reports say. He is due to face an
interview for the position, after he had faked
during the last moments of the Rajapaksa
regime that he had fled to London to escape
from Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

Since the BOI comes under the purview of prime
minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, we will bring the
following information to the attention of the
PM.

While being a partner of three garments
factories, M.R. Badurdeen had swindled from
his Korean associate, and defrauded the EPF
and ETF dues of the employees of these
factories. He has been punished over a fraud to
a foreign bank for goods shipped to a
Singaporean by faking documents.

He also swindled four million dollars by illegally
handing over a state-owned plot of land at
Kirimandala Mawatha in Nawala to an Indian
national. Also, he has cheated six million
dollars from a German company, purportedly as
consultancy fees to hand over a Janatha Estate
Development Board owned land at Union Place.
He also deceived six million dollars on the
premise of selling a national Housing
Development Authority owned land to an Indian
listed company.

Badurdeen has also defrauded these banks -
Rs. 340 million from Sampath Bank, Rs. 310
million from Pan Asia Bank and Rs. 95 million
from Nation’s Trust Bank.

Also, an investigation is underway into the
swindling of more than Rs. 01 billion through
Pan Asia Power Softlogic and several stock
brokers.

He has also cheated out a massive amount of
money by promising investments in Sri Lanka
by well known wealthy personages living at
Wembley in London, including Kandasamy
Sathkunarajah alias Guna (who owns Wembley
Mo Spice restaurant and Mullar Cash and
Carry), Reuban who is the owner of Wembley
Palm Beach restaurant and Dayalan, who owns
Wembley Saraswathi Bhavan. For all these, he
has made use of his close connection with
aviation state minister Faizer Mustafa. He
earned the wrath of the Rajapaksa regime
during its final moments over the swindling he
had committed.

We request the prime minister or his staff to call
our editorial, if they need further evidence with
regard to Rifki Badurdeen."
