[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Sprint queen Susanthika Jayasinghe's husband Dhammika Nandakumara had allegedly assaulted an army corporal yesterday following an accident in which their unregistered vehicle was damaged.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]According to the complaint by Corporal Subasingha Rajapakshe, who happens to be the driver of General Staff, Eastern Province Security Forces Brigadier Vajira Wijegunawardena, Dhammika had attacked the Corporal following a heated argument when the vehicle driven by Dhammika hit the Army vehicle.[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]According to the complaint, Susanthika who was also in the vehicle, had allegedly abused the Army driver saying that she and her husband too were in the Army at one time and therefore know the high handed attitude of some Army drivers.[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The incident had taken place at the Uswatte Junction Etul Kotte around 1.30. p.m. yesterday.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Welikada Police OIC Chief Inspector R.L. Chandrasiri said that according to the complaint, when the Brigadier's driver was driving towards Kotte from Sri Jayawardenapura Mawatha, Susanthika's vehicle, had tried to overtake the Army car from the left side. [/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The complaint states: When Susanthika's vehicle tried to overtake the Army vehicle, it had hit the left side of the Army vehicle and had stopped in the inner lane of the road at the Uswatta Junction. Then Susanthika and her husband had confronted him and asked who he is and had started an argument.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Then Susanthika's husband had allegedly slapped the Army driver thrice before leaving the scene, the complaint stated.[/FONT]
