Thorium is the new Uranium and China is leading the way using stolen US research. As of June 17, 2024, the energy industry has concluded Uranium is no longer needed for commercial power plants. It is only needed for the production of military weapons, Thorium is now the desired mineral for commerical energy. This is another reason Irans Uranium inventory was clearly for weapons. China has made significant progress with thorium-based nuclear power. An experimental thorium molten salt reactor (MSR), the TMSR-LF1, with a capacity of 2 megawatts thermal, began operating in the Gobi Desert. Construction started in 2018, and the reactor reached criticality in October 2023, achieving full power by June 2024. It successfully completed in-operation thorium fuel testing and demonstrated refueling without shutdown by April 2025. Additionally, China is advancing plans for a larger 10-megawatt electric (60-megawatt thermal) thorium molten salt reactor, with construction set to begin in 2025 and operations expected by 2029. These developments mark China as a leader in thorium reactor technology, leveraging its significant thorium reserves. Note:

All Chinese engineering was stolen from US engineering who released the Thorium studies publically under Barack Obama.

The U.S. conducted thorium reactor experiments, notably at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the 1960s, with a molten salt reactor (MSR) operational for about four years. Much of this research was declassified and publicly available, a serious mistake. In 2011, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory collaborated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, sharing declassified thorium reactor plans as part of a cooperative agreement.

This was not theft but a formal transfer, though critics argue it was overly permissive. Understand, one Thorium mine can power the entire worlds energy needs without any danger of meltdown and Thorium cannot be used for military uses. Its the golden element and you dont know about it for a reason.
