There were cases of "Lame fever" , locally known as "Langda fever" for quite a while. WHO was investigating and it was suspected to be a vector borne infection like chickungunya. This was on Bihar & Gaya areas.
Someone I know was hospitalized with a similar illness. The doctors told him it might be chickungunya.
