I haven't read the books machan. I only have watched the newest movie.
& it's great for me, waiting for the second part.

personally I believe director should have the freedom to create his vision not exact copy of the book in different format.
If we want completely similar story to the book, why not just read the book and forget about existence of the movie. I have the same idea about comic movies as well. that just what i think.

that's fair. i get your point of view mchan. and i respect it.
for me, as a book reader that movie didn't work. it's an example of a director making a film that uses visually stunning scenes with a bombastic soundtrack to cover up the fact that the film itself is completely soulless.

I think that is extremely common. same thing about harry potter books, all the people who read the books says movies don't have half of the stuff.
i think GOT, LOTR etc, same situation only handful of directors created better version than the book.
but for the majority of people who doesn't read the books, that doesn't matter much.
