Who says 1+1=2? It's 1. See the following.

The Proof:

Let's say that a = b :)

we multiply both sides by 'a'. Then we'll see that
a x a = a x b
a^2 = ab

Now Remove b^2 from both sides
a^2 − b^2 = ab − b^2

Let's factorize both the sides ;)
(a+b)(a−b) = b(a−b)

Now divide both sides by (a-b)
olé ;)
a + b = b
Oh whoopee!

But since I said a = b :D
b + b = b you'll agree?

So if b = 1
Then this sum I have done
Proves that 2 = 1

    පුංචි අවුලක් තියෙනවා
    a=b නම් a-b = 0
    ඒ නිසා 0/0 ගණන් වල අර්ථ දැක්වෙන්නේ නෑ
    :)

    Hahahaaa...NO!

"Now divide both sides by (a-b)"

This part is Incorrect according to Maths!
    a-b = a-a or b-b which is equal to zero(0)
When number:nerd: or a variable:nerd: or whatever:lol: is divided by Zero it is Infinity...
So You Cant Divide like that!

(i am doing Bio but i am quite good at Mathz:lol:;) )

    Oh..oh
    This is wrong..
    U began with a=b
and finally you divide by a-b which means "0"
as u knw division by "0" cant be explained in mathematics....It does nt exist......
And also in real analysis it can be shown that 1+1=2 :)

itz nt infinity...It is said that it does nt exist....if u learn the "limits" in maths, u will get to knw...Bt for O/L it is tought as infinity..Thatz wrong...Bt enough to understand....

macho, u are wrong... any number, except for 0, divided by 0 equals infinity.. that's true.... but if u divide 0 by 0 it is unexplainable... it is described as Indefinite Numbers in maths... u can learn it when u learn "Limits" in maths....

I dnt knw hw to explain...infinity only comes from dividing lim->0 machn..Not exactly 0...Bt as basic thatz nt wrng saying it is infinity...Actually any numbr dividing by 0 cannot be explained....
and 0/0 is .....very very unexplainable....cant think abt it also....:)
