I'm using a x470 motherboard and I had to do a firmware upgrade to use a 3700x with it.seems like there have been some reported incidents of 7000xd CPUs overheating but they've been addressed with firmware updates though14th gen intel are actually more power hungry and tend to run hotter, especially when looking at higher end unlocked CPUs</blockquote>
