actually 1 partition is better but make sure system partition only has less than 50GB space ,mostly for update + windows files + system software comes with windows. I am saying like this because, it takes a lot of time to copy files from partition to partition but if they are within the same partition , it takes only few minutes so basically having 1 partition saves time as long as system partition has its own partition with 50GB space.

If you have a seperate HDD for OS then it's better to keep it as a single partiton.
No machan I have only one HDD. I already squeeze my pocket to buy that drive.
I used a 160GB samsung HDD for Windows.
Today I'm rerplacing it with a SSD.
Seperate HDD for windows gives a good performance.
