(Colombo, Lankapuvath) In a dramatic turn of events avoiding any further delay, the Education Ministry and the Examinations Department have moved in quite swiftly to release the results of the GCE (Advance Level) Examination in 2011 at any moment today, well placed sources from the Examination Department disclosed.
The results could be accessed on the Examination Department website link-www.doenets.lk,the sources said.
The University Grants Commission(UGC) and the Examinations Department were busy last night round the clock finalizing the comparison between the results obtained by the students and X score marks, the sources added.
Education Minister Bandula Gunawardene told Parliament last Saturday in a special statement that all measures would be taken to release the results by end this week.
He also expressed confidence in meeting that deadline to release the results.
The results could be accessed on the Examination Department website link-www.doenets.lk,the sources said.

The Department of Examinations says the final date on when the GCE Advanced Level Examination results will be released will be made known today. Examinations Commissioner General Anura Edirisinghe speaking to NewsRadio said a special discussion in this regard took place last night. The issuance of results was delayed due to the examination being held in both the new and old syllabi. The Examinations Commissioner General said the expert panel was given 3 Z scores to decide on. He said the University Grants Commission will be notified once a decision is reached. Speaking to NewsRadio Anura Edirisinghe said results will be issued within 24 hours of deciding the Z score.

Legal tangle delay GCE A/L results!
(Colombo, Lankapuvath) A legal tangle has now caused delay in the release of the GCE(Advance Level) 2011 examination results, latest reports said.
The controversy over the comparison of the results and the Z score marks will now go before the Attorney General as requested by the University Grants Commission,the report added.
The Attorney General will receive the request on December 27, University Grants Commission sources said.
The Education Ministry said the final touches regarding the results were now being done and once the ruling of the Attorney General was recieved, the students would have the results.
