Every significant Internet provider around the globe is currently in talks with access and content providers to transform the internet into a television-like medium: no more freedom, you pay for a small commercial package of sites you can visit and you'll have to pay for seperate subscriptions for every site that's not in the package.

im not sure if this is true....but if this is true then its totally sh!t.watch that video

This is against the most fundamental theories of the internet.. which is no one owns internet..

If companies choose visitors to pay a fee to view their site, that's suicidal!!!

The most important aspect of internet is its freedom, if not Google someone will develop another search engine, of not you tube someone will come up with MeTube  and the best thing is people doesn't always do these primarily for money

    Perfect example: Elakiri.com

Yeah! its true what you are saying!

But there's gonna be a lot of problems for example if you go to Japan for a business purpose and you must login into your company intranet then Japanese ISPs doesn't cover your company's site, then what to do?

Else if, Japanese business contact ask you to visit thier site for more information on your business deal.. then SL ISP doesn't cover that Japanese site...

It will be a mess ne?

    hehe this not gonna happen.
Even if they do it some other company will offer connections to all sites for market competition. So all will gather around that ISP and they earn big money coz they give open connections.

There is no law like only they can setup ISPs, new ppl can setup ISPs too. So this will not gonna happen. If this gonna happen then their is no need for search engines becuase only few sites exist on the internet. Google, Yahoo will go down hehe.
So even they will setup ISPs and give open access internet. They have money to setup tons of ISPs in every country.

It only effects to ISPs who signed it, i dont think all the ISPs will sign.
Even all did that, still someone can create a new ISP and give connectivity to other sites.
And most of the web crowd and ISPs it self will not like the idea since all the money and fortune directed to few sites.
And they gather all the money around the world. And no space to any new comers or anything new.
Even the ISP can't make its own site and gather traffic around the world. Its like pumping all the countries money to USA or big multinational company.

This is just a joke. I think they have made a fun video in their free time
