The Sri Lanka Railway Station Masters' Union has threatened to walk out on a 48-hour strike commencing at midnight tonight (8).
Several sources at the Union confirmed that several other trade unions associated with the railway service, including the Railway Locomotive Operating Engineers, Drivers Unions will go on strike from midnight tonight. This will mean that, all railway drivers, operators, station masters and guards will take part in this strike.
