Some of these cameras use interpolation to blow up resolution, but the actual sensor has a very low res. A 2MP cam is more than enough, because IM applications don’t normally support anything over 640x480 (0.3MP) anyways. Besides you need an extremely good upload speed to stream at anything above 1MP. I'd say buy a good webcam from a reputed manufacturer. because most cheap unbraded cams perform very poorly under low light conditions.</blockquote>
