depends on some factors.

cache size, RPM, etc. if u gonna play game, look for a HDD with lager cache size and 7200rpm. Largest cache size u can find is 32MB, as far as i know

where did u find a 500GB HDD with 15000rpm ? most 250Gb and over HDD are 7200rpm hard drives... what I've seing on the market Only Western Digital make 10000rpm hard drives for desktops with SATA interface... even WD Raptor 150GB 10000rpm will cost u over $200... most of 15000 rpm HDD comes in smaller size such as 36GB,73GB & 147GB and they SCSI drives for servers.

fuck man I misread it..he typed in English in sinhala way "i know its only 15000,rpm 7200,buffer size 6mb.tr 3.0gb ps" you know in sinnhala we say rpm first and then the rate... in English rate first and then rpm... I din't see the comma though.. it was my mistake...
