i gave it to a friend of mine and got this and now i'm gonna buy a better one.by da way 3870 is better na

Yeah

But 3850 is insanely overclockable.
and could reach 3870 performance with out a hitch for a lower budget.
I increased ram speed by incredibly 180Mhz with out adding any cooler.

Brother your problem with 3870 card is due to VIA chipset of your asus motherboard. See the article gefroce 8 series under Wikipedia.It states a smiler computability issue with geforece 8800 pci ex 2 and VIA chipsets.

If you buy a new one get a 4850 ,Dont go for Nvidia because it still uses directx 10
and ATI is already supporting some upcoming directx 11 fetures like tesselation.
