Because in my opinion Mahinda needs to know that... it seems he doesn't know that or he doesn't care...
I think by going against law Mahinda forfeited the confidence of his fellow citizens and he can never regain their respect and esteem.

No one knows anyone else as they are... all of us have only opinions about Mahinda and all the others.
What we see is not what we get.

Only 1 thing i can add to this, even though we are talking many things and about many people. But he's the only one trying truly to wipe out the LTTE.
We have to see after war budget finished up what he can do to the country to make a better place to everyone.

I'm not supporting to any party, but he's the man now.
No one can say no.... We want to crush LTTE until the last person.
So our hope will be suceeded by him.
People have that confident on him, that will last for more than centuries....

Chandrika is the worst presidents ever in Sri Lanka.
North was the Kingdom of Praba in these days when Chandrika was da President.
U said "we lived a normal life", but If u lived in the Northern Province ???

In many ways she was the worst.. True.
But she didn't suck the county's wealth in so many billions with so many ministers. Now we pay double the price for many things.
Yes, I might like to see Karuna or Pillayan as the president if I lived in East... who knows.
I like the easy life style we had till Mahinda Chinthanaya comes into power.
Who ever she is she didn't drop the standard of our life style so much... in such a short time too.
When she was defeated I thought Mahinda would make a better country.. even though instinct of mind disagreed. In truth, I never felt Mahinda as a capable leader, though he looks strong. We can see real Mahinda if he start loosing his popularity and power to draw people. Once the war is over people would soon forget it.
Then if he would not honestly develop the country, it will be really difficult for him. Then many of you who respect now will go against him while we feel pity.

Just look around in Elakiri. We at least argue about him... where are those keen supporters who were here, who were threatening to kill members with different views. Supporters of war will be vanished once it is over... If Mahinda will have to continue with war also the popularity will drop as it happened with the delay of capturing Kilinochchi...

I think the war was glorified too much and they made a huge balloon out of little rubber. Once the war is over it become useless.
Sinhalese people lose interest very fast. The court case about petrol killed a lot of interest in war. Once the govt go against people the link is lost. They wouldn't celebrate the victories of a govt which supress the against the law of the country.
With that single act of going against the court order, Govt fell into the same boat of Prabhakaran who breaks law. When breaking the law is wrong with Prabha how can it be right with Mahinda.
