Before 20th you all said there are not more than 50,000 civilians left in safe zone. But in last 4 days 102,000 civilians came from safe zone. Now telling 20,000 civilians only left in safe zone... Since you lied earlier i wont trust ur last statement!!!

Well truth come out now. I know some Govt officials maintained there were only 70,000 people in Vanni. So how come 102,000 now ? where did they come from. I think those people gave 70,000 should acknowledge and resign. It is all a joke. So is 15,000 - 20,000 a correct figure ?

The successes achieved in the north are quite impressive. Only problem is there are too many spokesmen ( fortunately no spokeswomen !) and the statistics sometimes are confusing.

Before few months you Rohitha said it was only 60,000. Shame on you.

It is not a case of numbers. It is a case of winning against an oppressive terrorist organization with a clear and truthful outlook. Like many in the UNP don't waste your time counting numbers, Mr Sam R, but do the job.

You are living in a dream world.Be practical and pragmatic in dealing with human beings. Politics is a science and no one in Sri Lanka study political science before coming to politics. Play for gallery and the country is suffering. Not only the Tamils but also Sinhalese. It is appropriate to quote phrase from Dharmasoka after the Kalinga War,"Political ambitions cannot be achieved by war and the sins committed will never be pardon throughout the entire samsara"

When the LTTE took the remaining civilians by force to "No Fire Zone" as a human shield, some of the so-called "unbias" international news channels have been clamoring for that impending human catastrophe and insisting on immediate ceasefire by the GOSL. Also, they were talking the trapped civilian figures not in thousands but in millions! Thus they said the total was "Quarter Million". Daya Master who surrendered yesterday has said that the remaining population figure now around 10,000 to 15,000. Why did these unscrupulous news hawks exagerate the figures in so irresponsible manner? Perhaps they may be in the LTTE's pay-role and that is why they are being so resentful with the GOSL?
