If harry knows that aegon is a blackfre, then he clearly knows that dany has a better birthright to the throne so why'd he abandon his quest to support dany and go with jon to griffins roost? It doesn't make sense to me.Varys does play an interesting role. Even illyrio. And littlefinger too.I can't understand varys' character but I think his intentions mainly lies within making westeros a better place I guess. at least he tries and make sure that he holds trump cards that can turn the game at any moment.1. He told Aerys not to open the gates to tywin before the sack happened.2. He granted asylum to dany & viserys at illyrios'3. He tried to get eddard out of jail and when it failed convinced him to pledge guilty to the offence against joffery and then join the black.4. He smuggled the real or made a fake Aegon and put that plan into action to claim the throne for the targaryens backAnd whatever rumours he has planted on lannisters or roberts ears about dany and the targaryens, it made them nervous.And he once says to eddard that he works for he betterment of the realm. I actually don't see varys as a villain. But as I said he does have his eye on everything and got the means to change everything.What is the point of GRRM introducing a character like aegon so late only to make him a false claimer for the throne?Plus some of the strongest groups like the golden company & the dorne(at least secretly) will back him. And when everyone understand it is a hoax, where it'll put westeros in??The only obstacle against jon claiming back kings landing are the highgardens. If their loyalty changes, since the lannisters are weak at this point they'll obviously rule westeros.So the character of Aegon is very powerful. And I think he himself believes that he is Rhaegars son.And as I asked you above if not Aegon, then blackfyre by whom??Obviously the father has to be aerys or rhaegar. I don't see it being aerys. So if rhaegar, then who is the mother???Lyanna?? I don't think so since ned will never hand someone like that to varys.The story because huge in ADWD when they introduced Euron & Victorian greyjoys and aegon, all who'll directly affect the politics in westeros. Not to forget that the dornish & the Vale's loyalties are still uncertain.It's actually pretty hard even to keep up with the story</blockquote>
