Accounting Software - Help?

Dear Friends,

Need your help !!! (This is my first thread here).

I'm looking for an accounting software for one of my friends who is running a small business.

Can you guys help me out with below?
- What are the widely used accounting packages in Sri Lanka (with local support) ? (QuickBook, Tally and etc)
- Any idea about the prices?
- Any suggestions/recommendations (low cost packages available with support)?

accpac i wud say better. u can evn get sap basic version. only if u want licence u hv to buy if nt u cn get it fre frm any institute which tech them.i hv tally myob, acc pac in a cd i use acc pac for my business.. anyway end f d yr u hv to get paper accounts n sign by a chartered acc 4 tax ne. so juzt get it free. accpac version 8 wht i use. bt sap z far btr lk 2 go 4 tht.changing halfway z a tragedy
