check basic things

i also had this disconnecting problem.

first check the installation of the splitter(micro filter). if you get two seperate direct lines to your phone and the modem you have to install two seperate splitters for those two lines.

I had that problem, as i could see it was about heating when i was downloading in full speed after every few minutes connection drops and reconnects. So i put some adequate cooling for the router (prolink hurricane). Now it works fine. No more dissconections.

    hey,
I don't kniw what'z wrong but my connection is rapidly getting disconnected between
    6.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m.
    my modem is
UsRobotics +2 ADSL router with 2ports

    pease help....:(

Machan check whether you hear noises when you take phone calls. If there's a noise
it's gotta be the reason. If not report them. They'll come and check the ADSL signal.

this is not because my router is getting over heated or i use rapidshare...
when i complained them about this...thay said that it is because iam at an end part of their service area so this happens ....and THAT'S A BULL SHIT!!!..if it's true then how come i get full speed with no disconnection in da rest of the time...except for 6.30. pm???

anywayz iam gonna try that WINXP tweak..thanx for sharing it with me...
