Advertising in Music Videos

I see an increasing amount of advertising happening within music videos :

popit and mortien in Randir's Ojaye video

Apple Soda and some grands of chocolate in Ashanthi's Hanthane video

Cream soda in some of Iraj's videos as well as Sureni's videos ,etc.

What do you guys think ? is this a good move ? is it ethical or not ?
What are your thoughts on this ?

yah . that sucks ...

but that how they make money for the videos ..

hate them. but they do it only for the web release versions. In tv's they cut those scenes. But in Derana, they play the videos with advertisement's on it.

But that's how they make money for the videos ! In sri lanka doing a music cd is a waste. We all get rips of it n mp3's from sites. So i have no objection with it considering the situation in Sri Lanka. They have to survive..

Music videos all about adverting... Music video advertises the artist as well as the sponser.... If there are no advertiseing meaning no sponsers then most probably there'll not be a music video.

what happens when it comes advertising spirits and tobacco ? they always have the most money and if this keeps up, sooner or late they are going to get in to advertising on music videos.
Keep in mind that videos released on the web has no censoring at all.
