Sri Lanka has only ONE air port. ONE single point of entry. And for that single point of entry, the screening machines were not working for a MONTH! This is when the virus that machine is screening for is spreading around the world at epidemic level!
That's GROSS negligence to which the health ministry and whatever ministry that governs the B.I.A. and thus the government is responsible.
This virus is very serious one since its an airborne disease and it doesnt have a cure. Even ONE case is a serious problem. Had the authorities got those screening machines fixes immediately, we wont be even having this conversation now.
yes
i agree
but y have to understand
even with those euip, ent 17 people manage to escape in inda
17!!!
so there is a chance that even with tose machines people might come
anyway
i think who ever esponsible for making the non working machine in order did something
iresponsible and bad

India borders 4 or( is it 5 ) more countries. The infected could've crossed any one of those borders and didnt come through an air port.
So far there's no report from any of the countries that has the screening machines, that the machine failed to detect the virus.
Also, where the hell is the justification in saying that just because India has 17 cases so SL having at least 1 case of SWINE FLU is all right ?? Are you daft ??

i did not say aything like that
i did say it is any justification
    i said
who ever is responsible for not maling the machine properly is bad
    and need to be punished
but from the news i heard from CNN IBN
3 of the patence were from honkong
    some from australia
    one from USA
    and another one from swden

so most came form the airplanes
    not by ships machan
and all the airports had the euipments
    ok
    forget india
ho do UK,AND europe get the decease whic got stared from mexico?
    is it from ships
    not by airplanes..
so even with the euipment some managed to escape
    but in our case
i hink who ever respeonbile for the machine problem must take responsility

    so far was safe
    but some body came
    that is true
but y cant really balme the govenrment fo that

They introduced the screening machines to the airports AFTER they learnt that they have infected people in their country so that they can screen and stop MORE from coming in.

    then bro
tell me what happens toi australaia
    di they also invented
    so far as i heard
    1st mexico
    then USA
    then europe
    then asia pacific
    including hongknog,china
    and australia

and there are many swine flu cases found after weeks of the mexico 1st finding of the flu..
so that menas with the euipment they came
just tell me machan about india
how did they got those cases
    from air ports
    no doubt about that..
    anyway
who ever responsible for the misdeed
    must be punished
becasue this is a deadly virus....
but cant blame the government starightway..
people who is responsible is people who worls in the health departemnt
    not only the minister
if the poeple who worked in the minostry pressed hard to make the machine working agaian
    they would have done it
so not only the health minister
but all the people who worls in that feild, minisrty is responsbile

HOW THEY ENTERED TO THIS COUNTRY???

SINGAPORE FOUND THAT ONE OF THIS GIRL'S RELATIVE HAS GOT FLU,THEY STOPPED HIM AT THERE AND INFORMED THAT TO SL CUSTOMS.

DEFINITELY CUSTOMS IGNORED THAT OR THEY TOOK A BRIBE TO RELEASE THAT GROUP.

    NO OTHER WAY TO ESCAPE.

AND THE HEAT INDICATORS, MINISTER NIMAL SIRIPALA SAID H1N1 WILL NOT REACH HERE,COZ OF THAT INDICATORS,SO IF THOSE NOT WORKED, HE MUST FIRE THE RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE AT ONCE.AND HE STILL PLANNING TO COVER THEM HE MUST FIRE HIMSELF.IT IS REALLY A SHAME TO A PERSON ALSO THE PRSIDENT OF WHO.

    Melbourne.....
The one in Australia is not fatal. It is mild one. there are more than 1000 confirmedd cases in aus. it is almost like normal virus flu now. But SL should have pay more attention. Dengue , virus and swine flu... hmm...
