Still we are in the mathematical reasoning level & AI systems do not have the self consciousness. All the systems can perform some pre trained tasks faster than humans. US companies which are in the Billion level profits are cutting jobs not because they are replaced by AI. Those companies are heavily depending on the investor money & the stock market. Its true, AI has a big hype now. so called AI startup are making money in the record & marketing. So the investors in other SaaS companies are asking these SaaS companies to show profits too. But the normal SaaS can't outperform a hype based AI companies. All they can do is cut the jobs which they did in the over hyped corona home office IT trend. This is why you see job cuts. AI was there. OpenAI just marketed it by using high speed computational power. Actually in few years the hype will go away. Simply google the losses of OpenAI or any other AI startup. As long as investors pump money, they will say AI is replacing humans.  The big hype is promoted by non tech but wanna be tech like marketing idiots.
