(Oya godak wesa ballo tax gewanna puluwan job kranneth nane)

    FYI

The Government tax income consists two types of taxes.
    1. Direct Taxes (Eg. Income taxes) - Eligible persons like companies, individuals, partnerships etc. pay taxes
    2. Indirect Taxes (Eg. VAT) - Final end consumer (all of us) is paying the tax.

So all the sri lankans pay taxes, directly or indirectly.

No money --> you spend less --> contribution to indirect tax is low.
Earn more --> Spend more --> you contribute more to indirect tax + pay direct tax

Hope the above clarifies your doubts :-) when I say "Oya godak wesa ballo tax gewanna puluwan job kranneth nane". <--Either don't contribute or contribute far less

I am also curious how much of a portion of the tax the 2nd type pay these fuckers consume. I bet the ratio is pretty high. --> Net contribution is pretty low or possibly zero
