Actual speed...

poshkid, is that the normal speed??? it sucks man.. mine dialog hitz upto 220 KB/s on average....

Well, speedtest does not offer the actual speed of downloads.

The max speed I have seen so far is 220- 250 Kbps. (which is much better for me than the max 60 kbps ,I have seen in my SLT ADSL).

And I also don't like FUP in Dialog.

I am using Airtel since January so far speed is very good, I get a speed around 900kbps - 1.2Mbps average.. Some times it goes down to 400kbps - 600kbps but its far better than SLT ADSL where i got only 100kbps max and the Dialog FUP shit... Small correction to what you have posted, the speed depends on the type of signal availability(HSDPA/3G/EDGE) and the Airtel back end link bandwidth to the Internet(Backbone) NOT on the number of towers.

As the customer base increases if Airtel increase the back end link bandwidth there will be no issues in the speed. Also it seems they have sorted out there connectivity issues with other operators which caused major problems for there voice connections.

Airtel must increase bandwidth when they have many customers, so far they are providing a good HSDPA connection.

    Airtel Broadband FUP!

Airtel's new type of Fair Usage Policy!

I didn't still get any proper sources, but, according some unofficial sources, Airtel will be introducing a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit within next two or three months.

    How this FUP will work?
This Fair Usage Policy is not for everyone. This applies only to torrent downloads. It means, you can browse normal webpages and download direct files with full speeds. But, the speed of downloading torrents will be reduced as much as possible to prevent excess use of bandwidth and to maintain QoS for all users.

    More info coming soon....
