Simplebooks, is this really how you treat your customers?
We paid over LKR 18,000 to Simplebooks for tax filing services, expecting a professional service. Instead, we have been left chasing them for months, with absolutely no proper resolution.
Since 5th August, we have received no meaningful update, despite reaching out repeatedly and asking for answers. Multiple follow-ups, multiple attempts to get a response, and still nothing.
And now? They have blocked our numbers.
Seriously? Is this how a company providing professional services handles its customers? When a customer has paid for a service and is asking for an update, the response is to block them instead of addressing the issue?
That is a dirty, cheap tactic, and frankly, it is disgraceful.
Their excuse is that they sent us an email on 22nd September and that it might be in our spam folder. We checked. There is no such email in our inbox or spam folder. Yet they keep repeating this claim, as though telling customers to check their spam folder somehow makes months of silence acceptable.
Let's be clear. We paid more than LKR 18,000. We trusted this company to handle an important matter involving our business taxes. And to date, we have received no evidence that the promised service has been completed.
Things can go wrong in any business. Delays happen. Mistakes happen. But ignoring paying customers, refusing to provide proper updates, and apparently blocking their numbers when they ask questions? That is a choice.
What makes this even more frustrating is that customers should not have to beg a service provider to do what they paid for, or even to get a simple answer about the status of their own service.
We are sharing this publicly because private follow-ups have gotten us nowhere. Other business owners deserve to know about our experience before trusting Simplebooks with something as important as their tax filings.
Simplebooks, we paid you for a service, not for months of silence, excuses, and blocked phone numbers.
We expect a proper explanation and a resolution. Customers deserve at least that much respect.
And to other business owners in Sri Lanka, please do your due diligence before handing over your money. A professional-looking service means very little if this is how customers are treated when things go wrong.
Bhanuka Harischandra I suggest you to provide a proper service for what people pay your companies for. You might admire the 'play dead' employees, but we don't have time for your company drama.
    P.S. Inspect element click කරලා බොරු screenshot එවන්න එපා. එවනවනම් අඩු තරමෙ මාට්ටු නොවෙන්න edit කරන්න ඉගනගන්න.
