Airtel’s Fair Usage Policy is designed in such a manner that we continue to provide the best of Internet
experience to every user. When a user logs on to the network, that user shares the available bandwidth
with other users who are active on the network at that time. Hence, your actual speed and bandwidth
will be shared.
We have observed that a few users consume a large component of bandwidth, thereby affecting
bandwidth and speed of other users. By applying the Fair Usage Policy, Airtel continuously monitors
network performance and reduces the speed available to such heavy users during a given month. This is
to ensure that the service provided to other users is not impacted through extremely heavy usage of a
small minority of users.
Under the Fair Usage Policy, we have defined fair usage levels for Unlimited Data Transfer Plans. The
usage levels set are very generous, and the greater majority of users will not be affected by the Fair
Usage Policy.
When a user reaches the following usage threshold limit, then the respective data transfer speeds will
apply to such user:
Usage threshold Downlink Speed Uplink Speed
0 GB – 10 GB 1.8 Mbps 384 Kbps
10 GB – 12 GB 512 Kbps 128 Kbps
> 12 GB 256 Kbps 64 Kbps
The Fair Usage Policy is applicable only for data transfer speeds. The data usage capacity will remain
unlimited.
Please note that the data transfer speed would be upgraded to the normal speed on the first day of
following month as you continue to share the total bandwidth.

Jz go to a reload shop.n reload rs 45 to ur airtel no...am using a dongle ..speed is gud during morning hours...evening from 5 to 9 litle bit slow

their prepaid services are through the GPRS technology not the 3g. So it's more slow than you will except. Don't buy it. Damm , hated Airtel.damm airtel.

No mannn....it depends based on ur location....my dongle is 3.6 maximum and am almost getting 3 mbps sped...50 mb download time is around 20 secs..

Aniwa machan...am also using it for the past 8 mnths...peak hrs wala adu wenawa..bt mornings are da best...

I'm using this service since June 2010. Earlier days I got 2.8-3 Mbps, but now I'm getting only 1Mbps bandwidth. Airtel guys eventually reduces the speed. This package sucks now.
