Tasks and Responsibilities;
· Manage MySQL, Mongo and REDIS database servers – ensure databases both production and non-production are robust, well-performing, and monitored
· Experience with NoSQL database technologies advantageous.
· Work with developers to ensure the application database is always running optimally (For example, mentoring on how to write efficient SQL queries)
· Ability to pick up application knowledge and act as the Application DBA for our solutions
· Exposure and experience with any public cloud offerings like AWS would be added advantage
· Work with project teams and architecture teams to provide database expertise and provide solutions
· Willing to do after-hours work for deployment work
· Must be ready to enforce database security concepts like least privilege needed to ensure data purity.
· AWS Cloud infrastructure Certification would be an added advantage
You should have;
· 5 - 8 years’ experience as a Database Administrator
· Excellent fluency in English is a must
· Should be an excellent team player
· Innovative and forward-thinking
