Yes, he was there on looks like after a long time. I took the topic of Ajith Bandara or so called "Super Star" to see how the things happen to the people in this society. He and other Super Stars were given highest publicity during there peak. But no one knows about the other Super Stars today. Like a soda bubble they have lost their popularity and not seen on media.

But just think about people like Sunil Edirisinghe, Nihal Nelson, Rukantha, Chandraleka, Amaradeva, Nanda Malani, Edward Jayakody, etc they have never been categorised as "super stars" but they live in peoples mind.

The socity should understand this. Sacrificing your life to become a temporary popular pop idol and the rest of the life for nothing. Who can say the same thing happen for A Banara will not be happening for Pradeep Rangana and the other person from Chilaw. I think due to poverty and misunderstanding most of the young people participate for this kind of programmes.

Also the making star programmes have presented considerable singers, but they have not been crowned as Super Star.

I would like to have your comments, because I strongly belive this forum represent the society well.

Dont worry Ajith is well & alive, he has already released a new video & has started on his 2nd album. You people who cannot sing a note correctly, why are you spreading hateful & vicious gossip to tarnish the image of a young man who came up in life the hard way ? Is it not commendable that he became a popular singer due to his talent, after being a painter in a carpentry shop ? Is it wrong to promote the talents in such humble people? Let him chart his singing career slowly according to his own ability & his financial strength. Every one cannot be a Amaradeva or a Sunil Edirisinghe. Ajith is a pop singer who sings @ stage shows. So what's wrong ?

Such cheap talk as " car eke' kumburata yanawa " etc: is pure jealousy !! OK ? Either you guys have never driven a car, or do not like to see a poor fellow driving one. Why don't you go & harvest the " kumbura " instead, so that the people of this country will have more rice on their plates ?

As for the other super stars, the talented ones are doing fine. Did you not know that Amila has already sung playback for 2 films ? But he is not going to make a big hue & cry just to impress people like you.

Your comments only show how uninformed & ignorant some people are .

Everyone should understand that this is not against Ajith Bandara or Other "super stars". I personally valve their talents but shock is they have become victims of media businessmen. Can they sing as they wish? Whatever they do, sometimes hair style also controlled by an agreement. This may be a violence of Human Rights; but due to heavy funding those facts does not appear.

Yes, there is only one S Edirisinghe & Amaradeva but anyone can build their own personality like Rukantha. I think that S Mihiranga has built good personality even though he is tied by a heavy agreement. My example, Super Star Ajith Banara’s talents are hiding under an agreenment.

Making Star Programmes like Super Star, Dream Star etc are the marketing channels of huge businesses. Participants and made stars become sellers of goods of sponsors.

Another point I would like to notice here is other superstars are much popular than crowned superstars by SMS voting system. Actually SMS voting does not present the public as we saw in last Presidential Election.

People should understand Media can not make stars, but people.
