Two “Miraculous Fishes ” have been caught by the people who came for da’wa (Thablig Jamath) They were in the last few days of their Da’wa journey of 40 days. Matara is a small city situated in the southern part of srilanka. The place that they were engaged in Da’wa was Muhiyaddeen Jummah Masjid (Markaz) painted white that stands majestically by the river. Nilwala river is an important landmark of this coastal city and it is the center of Islamic Da’wa in this region.the center of Islamic Da’wa in this region.
During morning hours after finishin their work, with the permission of their Jamath Ameer (leader) and Abdurrauf Haji (area Ameer) some members of the group started fishing from the garden premises of the mosque and they were so amazed that they were able to catch two fishes . What they noticed on the two fishes caught by brother Naleemdeen while they were trying to get them off the fishing rod was more surprising.
Speciality of these fishes were – on both sides of one fish was the Arabic letters “ALLAH” and on one side of the other the same words appeared. The significant features worth mentioning are that they were crught simultaniously , and the arabic word “ALLAH” appeared on both of them, and according to the experienced fisherman these fish normally lives in ponds and its so strange that they were caught in a deep river like this River Nilwala – Matara, SriLanka.
