Bomb blast inside train, 7 killed, 50 wounded

At least 7 civilians were killed and more than 50 wounded in a bomb blast around 5:20 p.m. Monday at Dehiwela in Colombo inside a packed compartment of a train bound from Maradana to Panandura, according to initial reports. Police said a parcel bomb had went off inside the 5th compartment of the train.

7 civilians were killed including a pregnant mother and 62 more passengers suffered injuries when the LTTE terrorists exploded a bomb inside a highly crowded Colombo-Panadura train around 4.55 p.m today.
According to the available information the explosion occurred inside the 3rd carriage of the Panadura bound train which leaves the Maradana railway station around 4.25p.m.
The victims who suffered injuries were rushed to the Kalubowila teaching hospital and National hospital Colombo.
