This happened while I was installing O/S... I found that the system does not respond and I restarted... It detected my hard (still it detects) and at boot time (where it asks if you need to boot from a cd or from your harddisk), my machine freezed, but this is not a real freeze coz, I saw multi coloured characters flashing all over... I started removing piece by piece and finally I found the faulty part is my hard... I tested it on a friends PC n there too the same happened... :(:(:(:( Have to wait until thursday to claim warrenty... hope if I could pay extra $$$ and get a 160 or 200 instead of my 80!!

    wht happens whn the HD is plugged in as a slave drv???? not detected????

    Nw when I plug my hard disk I can't even boot from a live cd! Wonder why? Ny way after removing my hard and booting from a live cd.. the system works ok!!!!

    It detects lolz! And i can feel it rotate too... But it doesn't work!!!!!!!!! And all other hards and cd rom (if to boot from a cd) stops responding when tht hard is plugged!!!

    plugged in what.....master or slave......or this happens in both cases??

    Meka amuthuma case ekak!
    U know that table you see before booting... with procesor stuff n cache info... When I plug in my hard I see cifferent colour characters that have replaced original characters... Had a PC since I was in grade 3! haven't experienced these!!!

    ahhh... i thought that the prob occurs whn the HD is pluged in as Master.... if iz not getting through the POST when plugged as a slave, guess there's nothin much that i cn think of to fix it...... sry buddy........ hp others cn think of somethin....... :yes: :yes: :yes: :yes: :yes:

    Na na!!! It detects at POST machan! Eakane wade!!! BIOS wala baluwath detect karala model ekai size ekai okkoma denawa! Eth boot wenna hadanakota eaka thiyeddi amuthu amuthu dewal ne wenne! hithaganna ba!
