for this, your second wifi access point must have the feature to act as a booster. Otherwise you have to just connect the 2 routers with an Ethernet cable.

first off, you're planning to steal someone else's bandwidth. Dont you understand that's just plain wrong ?

Second, to use a wifi relay, the first router must have the id of the second wifi access point entered as a wifi relay. So you need to configure both wifi routers to do that.

If you know the guy, then ask him to move his router to minimize the number of blind walls the signal has to go through. You can also try changing the wireless frequency (that might help a little if there are other devices interfering with the current wi-fi freq).
Then there are are some DIY Wi-Fi antennas you can make, but I don’t know how effective they are. Search google for more info.
