Kiwibox.com describes itself as a web site built for teens by teens. It brags of having 100% of its content to be written and contributed by high school and college students. Given that, and assuming that the KiwiBox is also employing some sort of parental control over KiwiBox, it is safe to say then that KiwiBox is a 100% wholesome site. In addition, Kiwibox also claims that the most important factor for its success is their users, specifically their users running the site.
So, what’s in store for our teen-age kids or siblings if you’re not as old as me? (yes, I already have two teen-age kids) Pretty everything that teens would look for in a social networking site. Kiwibox’s got news about teen-age pop icons such as Avril, Miley, Troy, Gabriela among other teen-age favorites. The site also got a spotlight on the current MTV shows, music articles, entertainment portal, games and tech stuff and of course, body and fashion and love and life sub-portals.
What’s so outstanding about Kiwibox.com is the site design. It’s funky and cool green theme emits the vibrant spirit of today’s youth. Content wise, Kiwibox offers all forms of user-generated content such as photos and videos as well as information content in the form of articles written by teens. And yes, every sub-portal of Kiwibox has its own designated color scheme. And I would have to commend the staff who designed the site for coming up with the perfect combination and representation of colors.
Alright, enough of my babblings and it’s time for you to check out Kiwibox, or better yet tell your kids about it. I could just imagine how they would react when you inform them about Kiwibox. Surely, your teens will get the best of both worlds at Kiwibox.
