    "Sub planets" generally refers to dwarf planets, celestial bodies orbiting the Sun that are large enough to be round but haven't cleared their orbital path of other objects, unlike full planets. The five officially recognized dwarf planets are Pluto, Ceres, Eris, Haumea, and Makemake, with most located in the outer solar system (Kuiper Belt) except for Ceres in the asteroid belt.
