HE the President please come for a debate with Fonseka on war corruption during war operations : we hope you will not slink from it

Media spokesmen of Fonseka jointly request

Media joint co ordinators, Mangala Samaraweera and Anura Kumara Dissanayake of Opposition common candidate Gen. Sarath Fonseka had addressed a letter to the President requesting for a debate between Gen. Fonseka and the President regarding the suspicious arms deals and corrupt transactions during the period of the war. The letter requests the President to select a suitable TV channel and a time for this debate .

While giving due respect for the President’s limited time, both Mangala Samaraweera and Anura Kumara Dissanayake have always given top priority to political debates across the country. This request will give the President the opportunity to clear the air about these suspicious transactions in accordance with Wimala Weerawansa’s efforts to introduce traditions of promoting debates on dubious and suspicious deals.

The letter to the President is as follows:

His Excellency the President,

Wimal Weerawansa MP, who is a frontline ally of your Excellency at a press briefing had made serious false allegations against Common Presidential candidate Gen. Fonseka in connection with an arms deal. He had alleged that a relative of the General was involved in an arms supply fraud. Moreover, he had challenged the General for a debate on this issue.

Certainly there are doubts and suspicion surrounding the arms and weapons transactions. Clear information regarding these deals have not been revealed by the Govt. to the people. We thank Weerawansa for suggesting that debating customs and practices shall be followed so that the people will know the truth. We are confident that your Excellency will agree to such debates on the television channels.

During the period when Gen. Fonseka was the Army Commander, it was you who functioned as the Defense Minister.. Hence, during that period , you were fully responsible for all those transactions and they occurred with your consent. It is our belief therefore that the debate should be between Gen. Fonseka and you who was the Defense Minister at that time. A debate between persons who were not connected with this subject will create more misunderstandings and complications. Holding a debate with an individual who is betraying his ignorance by making bogus allegations and is ignorant of the arms deals, the quantity involved and the payments thereto is meaningless.

While thanking Weerawansa for having made this proposal, it is our conviction that your Excellency will accept this challenge conducive to salutary political traditions . We will appreciate your participation in this debate..We are certain you will also take measures to hold a number of debates for the so many suspicious arms transactions as alleged by your close ally, Weerawansa.

We request your Excellency to give us a time which suits you and the TV channel you propose to hold this debate. We truly value your Excellency’s efforts to give due place to political debates in the country.

Here is the chance for MR to cum n prove their shitty censure.. if he reject this we can realize everything

President will certainly curb the private media in his second term of office – UPFA Film and Art chief says

(Lanka-e-News 02.Jan.2010 7.45PM) UPFA Film and Arts Chairman Somaratne Dissanayake speaking at a debate over the television channel said, President Mahinda Rajapakse will go all out to curb the private media during his second term in Office.

When the moderator of the interview questioned ‘Your saying that the private media will be controlled and curbed; was it a statement made by you intentionally or is it a mistake?' Mr. Dissanayake said, the President will definitely take steps in his second term to curb media which is untoward, specially the electronic media, he added.

Fonseka’s Contingency Plan-2, to take over the country is ready

    By K.T.Rajasingham
    Colombo, 29 December, (Asiantribune.com):

In case Sarath Fonseka is defeated in the forthcoming Presidential election, there is a plan to take over the country by force, it is reliably learnt. The Contingency Plan - 2, that has now come to the fore, is to be put into operation just immediately after the elections results are announced on 27th January 2010, reliable sources say.

According to the plan -2, faithful soldiers are to surround the Temple Trees, the official residence of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, arrest the President and take him to a secret hideout. Also the plan includes a move to arrest and mercilessly kill Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Defence Secretary and other members of the President’s family.

Once the country is taken over in a bloody coup, those Army Attaches who are posted in several Sri Lankan Embassies overseas will assume position as Country’s Ambassadors and negotiate with America and European Union countries for the recognition of the new regime that took over the country.
