Because it does what I want. No slow downs. I can turn off the filesystem scanning but still have the internet scanning. The only way I'm gonna get viruses is from the internet, and downloads true Flashget, Messenger and Firefox. All files downloaded from them are scanned prior to saving then on the disk. That's all I need. NOD32 does it. So I don't need anything else.

Less resources is not a necessity. Speed is what I need.

But Kaspersky is a real pain in the ass

being the pain in the ass was the reason i switched away from NOD32..... too much nagging.... KAV on the other hand can be tamed nicely to stop nagging...
