I'm getting a HP Compaq Presario CQ60-101TX today most probably,

If anybody of you happen to use this model, please let me know your ideas, any problems with this model , battery life, so on..

i m also having the same laptop and using for straight 9 months without any formatting, os restoration or any fault.
go for it. its economical, battery life is lasting for 3hrs in the power saver mode, 2hrs in the high performance mode.

This model wasn't available for my own good there was CQ60-203TX for the same price I expected for that earlier model.. This contains a 250GB HDD.
Got it down for 79K, spent another ~3K for another 2GB of RAM..

Mine doesn't carry a LightScribe DVD-RW, and I don't give a sh*t about that too.. lol
BTW, what are the usual temps of your devices ? HDD ? GPU ? CPU ?

few friends of mine use it. great laptop compared with the prize. only problem is the dual core processor. same laptop with core2duo processor is expensive. make sure it has a separate VGA (NVIDIA) and dual core 2.0 or 2.1Gz processor. if you can upgrade it to 250/320GB HDD and 3GB RAM, will be fine.

Dual Core CPU is not an issue for me,
It has a dedicated 9200M GE GPU and a 250GB HDD, yes of course I threw in another 2GB of Ram at the time of purchasing,, ... hehe

Specs seems ok, not a very high end machine, but good for normal work.

Note that 9200M GE is a very weak entry level card, so you won’t be able to play any new 3D games on it, but for anything else it is a decent card (much better than Intel integrated cards)

Using it n loving it. Nvidia Geforece with CUDA VGA, and 3GB Ram.
Core 2 Duo CPU, and 250GB HDD. Life is pretty much simple n easy ..

I knew about the VGA, What I wanted was something that is better than nothing(Intel) lol,, And I have a well Balanced PC for heavy weight operations..
