A long time ago mostly Pakistanis bought acreages of land in Bolivian forests. Very cheap. It was for them to get residency later on.

PS: I am only interested about the Ferry traffic to Hvar island. In summer there's severe congestion. Can buy a ticket on-line but cars are taken first come first serve basis. If you don't take the car it's not a problem. Split to Hvar ferry is supposedly a long wait during June - July.
