Applications will be called for the G.C.E. O/L examination 2012 and the final day the applications will be accepted is the 30th of this month says the Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara.
The applications for the A/L examination for the 2012 are called when serious issues regarding the results of the 2011 A/L examination have not been solved. The UGC called for applications of university admissions even while candidates have applied for reevaluation and cases regarding the results are being heard before the Human Rights Commission and the Judiciary. Now, the Department of Examinations has called for applications for this year’s A/L examination. Students who sat the A/L examination last year and their parents say the move is unjust and harmful for the students.
School as well as private candidates can send in their applications during this period. The candidates say if they are given time to reevaluate their answer scripts after the result are published the confidence regarding the examination could be strengthened.
It is stated that the A/L examination is to be held from 6th to 30th August.
