its not legally available in Sri Lanka becasue apple.Inc hasnt released iPhone in SL yet!
There are only chinese made and USA made but brought to SL n unlocked iPhones are there; just go through Sunday Times Classifieds; u'll get bunch of places in CMB as well as in interior of the country
Dialog had it for 84K
and I'm using an iPhone, original US made-unlocked but dialog, mobitel networks arent working properly

tell you what, better not to try an iPhone (Original 1 from Apple i mean) until it's released in Sri Lanka as u can enjoy all the privileges provided by then
I got the Apple i phone few days ago as im in aussie. but i checked the apple site and found out that it is only 199 dollers.but it's locked and if it's cheaper to get it unlocked in SL and If u have nyone in the states it would be cheaper to buy it 4m there. i have the apple i phone 3gs 16 gig!!!
